<< Far From The Shallow >>
We got cut short by a storm that rolled in during our first pool photoshoot in June, but we had a ton of fun and just enough time to figure out how the process would work and what the challenges would be. not being able to talk to my subject in the moment, and the fact that my underwater camera is much slower than the Mark IV I’m used to snapping with left me pushing my own abilities. We have to get a game plan before going under, and I have to get positioned before the model is posed and stay still enough to shoot without blowing too many bubbles to see my screen or the subject.  my lungs and shoulders have had better workouts I’m sure, but none I can remember lol! The texture added when sunlight crosses the water ripples is one of my favorite details.

One person held the spotlight outside of the water and highlighted the subject and areas around to achieve some reallllll drama after dark. Y'all know that awful realization that you've now been in the water long enough for the temperature to change & it's SO much colder out of the water? Yep, I had almost forgotten about that

We're conveniently located just 15 minutes west of I-45, halfway between Houston and Dallas. It's a relaxing, scenic drive out once you hit Leon County, and our property is as tranquil as it gets. Enjoy a heavily wooded high fence for privacy from the road, a cattle pasture to the east, and never have to leave the blacktop.
